Internet Notifier allows you to track changes in required information on different resources beginning with files on disks and ending with blogs, forums and other resources. The program will allow you to keep abreast of the news and to track any replies on forums and comments on blogs, and creation of new topics and entries. The program will notify you about changes on various information resources: rates, ratings, and stock prices. For each resource, a task can be created with applicable parameters. Created tasks can be grouped, changed, deleted, and dragged. The program can support a variety of protocols such as: http, https, ftp, file. It will provide you with an alert tone or a voice notification (optional) whenever your connection is up or down and can be set for specific interval times. It resides in the systray and offers a few configuration settings that can be called up via a quick right-click of the app icon. As mentioned above, interval and sound are the top two, but you can also log connection data. The data logged will provide a complete picture of your network’s connection status and includes the period (days, hours, minutes, and seconds) broken up into up/downtime measured and the percentage of uptime for the given period.

This useful tiny tool will detect any disruption in your Internet connection and will inform you about it right away. First of all, the program will offer to ping a number of websites to test your connection, and will display a list of popular pingable sites that are alive. You will then be immediately notified about the status of your connection, and a new window will pop up as soon as that status changes. The frequency of those notifications range from 1 second to every 5 minutes or a custom length of time that you determine. My experience on a laptop connected to the Web via Wi-Fi taught me to set that frequency higher than just a few seconds, as chances are that under those circumstances your Internet availability will be in a state of permanent change. You can also assign a voice or a sound effect to the notification window, or turn it off altogether. The program will also generate logs (that you can also turn off) that will note down all changes in your Internet connection. Finally, you are also offered a Nighttime Mode, where you can silence all sounds between a time range (between “bed time” and “morning”) of your choice, turn off any logging activities, and even tell the program to go to bed too and forget about checking the status of your Internet availability during that same time interval.

There is not much more to it than this. This tiny app has been designed simply to notify you about any changes taking place in your Internet connection, and it delivers what it promises efficiently and promptly. It would be nice if this useful tool could provide us in the future with more exhaustive information about our Internet connection rather than just its status – a simple note about its speed or overall stability/quality would be very welcome.

If the internet goes down, a small alert audio will go on loop until you click 'Acknowledge' button. You can switch off the checking whenever you want...

We made sure to use two minimum latency connections to check your internet. So, Dont worry about network consumption...
