BackupMyPocket combines a powerful backup algorithm with an easy to use interface to provide a simple but effective way to backup your external storage devices. The basic benefit of this is to keep your data safe in case your USB drive is lost, stolen or broken. BackupMyPocket implements a “reverse cloud computing” model. “Cloud Computing” has become a key part of the portable computing movement, but has the disadvantage that the user usually needs to be “online”. Rather than working from an online, central data store, BackupMyPocket can be used to store the data on a portable device and back it up on a regular basis. This has the advantage of simplicity and is not dependent on being online. If security is important, BackupMyPocket can be installed in an encrypted file container, and configured to backup to a secure location such as a secured, network file share

Your backup in your pocket. Pocket Data Backup installs onto your USB flash drive or USB hard drive. It runs from the USB device and backs up to the USB device. Everything you need is in one location. Next time you plug the USB device into your computer, new and changed files are automatically backed up. No need to worry about schedules or manually running the program to run the backup. It just backs up. Green Software: Program runs directly from the USB drive and backs up to the USB drive. Native Format Backup: Files are backed up in their native format so the backup data can be directly accessed without having to restore it.

Automatic Backup: There’s no need to schedule your backup. Just plug your USB device in to your computer and the backup will run automatically. Easy Backup Categories: Just select the categories of files to back up and let Pocket Data Backup find your pictures, videos, music, documents, and Internet files for you so you don’t have to. Advanced Restore: Restore entire category of files or just a single file with Advanced Restore. Your backed up files are organized in file categories to make it easy to find the file you need to restore.

USB flash drives are small, portable storage devices that use a USB interface to connect to a computer. Like flash memory cards, they are removable and rewritable, and have become a common method of storing data. However, whereas flash memory cards require a reader to be installed, USB flash drives can be inserted into the USB ports found on most modern computers. The storage capacity of these drives ranges from 32MB to 64GB.

USB flash drives are constructed of a circuit board inside a plastic or metal casing, with a USB male connector protruding from one end. The connector is then covered with a cap that slips over it, allowing the device to be carried in a pocket or on a key fob without worry of damage. When you need it, you can insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on a computer, or into a USB hub that allows multiple devices to be connected to one machine.

Please note that the ISO file is not needed to create bootable media for this version of EZ Gig. Customers needing bootable media can easily create the bootable media by downloading EZ Gig IV Windows Version, and then running the application within Windows. Select the ‘Create Bootable Media’ from the first screen in the application and follow the on screen instructions.

To burn an ISO from the EZ Gig IV ISO file, you will need software that is capable of burning the image back into a CD. Windows 7 has a built-in ISO burner, but older operating systems will require 3rd party software to accomplish the task. Burn programs (such as Nero or Roxio) have built in ISO burners but not all burning programs will have this feature. Below is a link that will help explain how to burn ISO files with several different pieces of software. There are also links for good freeware ISO burning programs if you do not already have one.
